LOCATION:

The home is located on the "Big Island" of Hawaii in Keauhou Estates. This "gated" community is 13 miles south of the Kona International Airport and 5 miles south of the village of Kailua-Kona.

DIRECTIONS:

From the Kona airport, head south on the main road. Take a right at Kam III road (traffic light) toward Keauhou Bay and then the first left to Keauhou Estates.

KEAUHOU ESTATES:

This is an exclusive and private gated development of upscale homes. Peace and quiet are the rules. This one story vacation home can accommodate up to 6 people. Our 550 ft. elevation gives our guests a spectacular view. All linens and towels are provided.

Sorry, no pets.

FRUIT TREES:

There are lemon, avocado and pineapple trees on the property. If the fruit is ripe, feel free to pick and enjoy it.

SMOKING:

Please do not smoke in the house. If you wish to smoke, please do so outside on the covered lanai.

SHOPPING:

The Keauhou Shopping Center is down the hill off Kam III road. 5 minutes drive from the house. KTA Supermarket and Longs Superdrugs are good. However, at the Crossroads Shopping Center there is a new and large Safeway Supermarket and a Wal Mart which are best.

BEACH & SNORKELING:

Next to the keauhou Beach Hotel (which has recently closed for renovations) is a good area to snorkel and close by. One of the "best" beaches in all Hawaii is 45 minutes drive north--Hapuna Beach state park.

SUNSETS:

Enjoy watching the sunsets over the Pacific Ocean from the covered lanai.

WHALE WATCHING:

During the winter months you can see Whales swimming in the ocean from the lanai.

FISH:

The garden pond has Koi swimming around. You can feed them every other day. Take a small handful of the fishfood pellets from the pantry (in the glass wine container). From the end of the pond throw a few at a time to the fish. They will come to the end of the pond to feed.

BIRDS:

In the morning scatter a few handfuls of the "finch food" on the concrete area next to the outdoor Spa. Local birds will feed including Zebra Doves, Yellow Beaked Cardinals, Java Sparrows and Saffron Finches.

RATES:

$280 per night (includes 20% discount for direct booking -
- Taxes are included.
- one week minimum stay.
- $1000 security deposit.

$1960 per week for one person or couple

$980 per week each for two couples or two people with separate bedrooms.
